Personal message from the author

White tulips field for Genrose Campasas' welcome message

It is particularly interesting to see how God has allowed humanity to reach as far as the discovery of technology, giving us the luxury of being able to connect with just a few clicks from different parts of the globe. And as I write this, I cannot help but glory in God for all that He is, for all He has done from the beginning and will do in the time to come. Meanwhile, I consider it a great privilege to be able to reach out to you, dear reader, and hopefully be used by our Maker in any way He wishes to impart something in you. As I say in my testimony page, I believe it is God's will to bring you here, and I pray that you think the same. In any case, may He be glorified.

Before you swoop into reading my writings, I would like you to be aware of my presuppositions on initiating this blog. You see, there are plenty of excellent Christian blogs that God has blessed us with throughout the years from faithful men and women of His Word. You must consider mine a novice and I, a young sojourner that still has more to learn from elders. For this truth, my blog is primarily intended for my fellow younger travelers (of age and faith), most especially for young ladies. The blog may bless my fellow travelers too of the same age. Ultimately, anyone older than me in age or faith is welcome. After all, each of our lives is used by God in innumerable ways to accomplish His will in all of us.

If you have not done so, I want you to make the Bible the ultimate source of authority. It is breathed out by God, and so it is sufficient for your walk unto glory (2 Tim. 3:16-17). It has everything you need. For that reason, you must consider my blog a sideline, for studying the Bible is your ultimate work. I want you to compare my writings with the Bible as you read them, because although I strive to be as Biblically accurate as I can, in one way or another, I may fall into error. Sometimes, you also might not notice it. And this should always make us dependent on our Savior and His Spirit, the reason we always ask Him for wisdom. "For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6)."

Nor should you trade local church ministry to my blog. It is where we are most nurtured, for half of our Christian experience involves serving the church and being disciplined by the church. An online family must be your second priority only, for they must have their local churches, too (at least in most cases), and you have another priority—your family at home.

Aside from being introverted and writing being easier for me,
I initiated this blog primarily to express my devotion to Biblical womanhood, and I desire to set an example for the younger ladies. At the same time, I would like to impart some outlooks on some practical issues of Christianity as a whole, although that should not usurp the authority of our faithful men of God. My writings on motherhood, wifehood, or parenthood are from a single woman's view, although they are based on the Scriptures, I believe there is a different wisdom only attained when I am already in those shoes (of a mother, wife, or parent). This, then, I will use (as I should) as an opportunity to learn from our Christian wives, mothers, or parents. And I pray that through this blog, we could be of use to edify one another unto Christlikeness for God's glory.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."—Romans 15:13

In love,

Gen
